While growing up in Ann Arbor in the 1960's and 70's, I attended the Ann Arbor Public Schools. In the late 1960's my mother became a Christian, and so my family and I began attending church and Sunday school on a regular basis. As a result of the church's youth ministry and the influence of my mother, I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior as a young teenager. I went on to Calvin College, and there I met my future husband, David.
David and I both have a strong commitment to and belief in Christian education, and so our oldest child began attending then Saline Christian School in the fall of 1988 as a second grader. That step began our journey with Saline Christian School, which we all know now as Washtenaw Christian Academy. All three of our children, Julie (26), Daniel (23) and Laura (18) have attended WCA, with Laura graduating in May 2006. The school has been a tremendous blessing to our family!
I have been in the capacity of Business Manager since September 2000. I love my job at WCA! This school belongs to our awesome God, and I am thankful to be a part of the ministry here. It is a privilege to serve along side all of the godly staff at WCA to further the kingdom of God in Washtenaw County.
