MS/HS Spanish Teacher
Washtenaw Christian Academy is seeking a Secondary Spanish Teacher who is passionate about language learning and committed to helping students develop communication skills, cultural understanding, and confidence in Spanish within a Christ-centered educational environment. The ideal candidate will have a love for God, a love for students, and a desire to engage learners through dynamic, interactive language instruction.
Position Title: Secondary Spanish Teacher

Reports to: Secondary Principal
Responsibilities
Instructional Duties
- Teach Spanish courses for middle and/or high school students (beginning through advanced levels as assigned)
- Plan and deliver engaging, proficiency-based instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
- Create an immersive classroom environment that encourages active use of the Spanish language
- Incorporate cultural understanding from Spanish-speaking countries in instruction
- Differentiate lessons to meet a range of student proficiency levels
- Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate with families as needed
- Integrate a biblical worldview into instruction in appropriate and meaningful ways
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to support language acquisition
Classroom & School Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a structured, encouraging, and language-rich classroom environment
- Foster student confidence and participation in speaking Spanish

Preschool Assistant Teachers
Washtenaw Christian Academy is seeking Christ-centered, caring, and dependable Preschool Assistant Teachers to support our preschool program. We are hiring both full-time and part-time team members who are passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where young children can grow academically, socially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Working alongside the Lead Preschool Teacher, Preschool Assistant Teachers play a vital role in supporting daily classroom instruction, caring for students, and helping establish a positive classroom culture rooted in biblical truth. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, collaborates well with others, and desires to help lay a strong foundation for lifelong learning and faith.

Key Responsibilities
Classroom Support
- Assist the Lead Preschool Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
- Support daily classroom routines, including learning centers, meals, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions.
- Prepare classroom materials and learning resources as directed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom supervision to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Student Care & Development
- Build positive, nurturing relationships with students.
- Encourage children's academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual development.
- Provide individualized support based on students' developmental needs and learning styles.
- Reinforce positive behavior and model kindness, patience, and respect.
- Observe student progress and communicate relevant information to the Lead Preschool Teacher.
Health & Safety

Interventionist
Washtenaw Christian Academy is seeking a Christ-centered, compassionate, and skilled Interventionist to provide personalized academic support to students who need additional assistance in achieving grade-level expectations. The Interventionist works collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families to identify learning needs, implement interventions, monitor student progress, and support student success from a biblical worldview.
Position Title: Interventionist (Part-Time)

Reports To: Principal & Student Support Services Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students requiring academic intervention.
- Deliver targeted support in reading, math, writing, and other academic areas as assigned.
- Assess student needs and develop intervention plans based on academic data and teacher recommendations.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of interventions and outcomes.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to align interventions with classroom instruction and student learning goals.
- Assist in identifying students who may benefit from additional academic support services.
- Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student progress.
- Participate in student support meetings and contribute to intervention planning discussions.
- Utilize research-based instructional strategies and intervention programs.
- Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment that supports student confidence and growth.
- Integrate biblical principles and Christian character development into student interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student records and information.

Bus Drivers
Washtenaw Christian Academy is looking for qualified individuals to fill the position of Bus Driver. This is a part-time, as-needed position. The people who fills this role will safely transport students to and from school for extracurricular activities, ensuring that each trip reflects WCA’s commitment to excellence, care, and professionalism.
The ideal candidate will have a cheerful, dependable spirit, demonstrate attention to safety and detail, and maintain a calm and caring demeanor with students. Applicants must possess a valid Michigan CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, meet all required background and driving record checks, and comply with state and federal transportation regulations.

Head Coaches report to the Athletic Director.
This is a seasonal position. The ideal candidate will have a desire to lead our student-athletes to grow in their faith in Christ, to mature in their godly character, to increase their love for the game, and to develop their skills in competition. This candidate should have a strong faith in and love for God, and a thorough understanding of the rules and regulations of the game. This candidate must be able to develop and execute practice and game plans, and must possess excellent oral and written communication skills for interactions with student-athletes, parents, officials, and others in the sporting arena. Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
