Reality Check: 9th & 12th Grades

Reality Check gives students an opportunity to think about vocation, financial literacy, and what it means to steward their God-given resources well. The morning will conclude with a debrief where students can ask questions, reflect on their experience, and discuss what they learned.

Each 9th and 12th grade student is assigned a career, marital/family status, and salary. After an orientation, students visit booths representing real-life expenses such as housing, insurance, childcare, transportation, and more. They’ll make financial decisions along the way and work to build a successful monthly budget.
