Middle and High School Principal
The MS/HS Principal position is a full time, year round position that reports to the Head of School. As the MS/HS Principal this position is responsible for supervising the academic, student, and teacher programs for grades 7-12. This position works closely with the Elementary Principal in order to oversee the curriculum program of grades K-12.
Key aspects of this position include
- Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and retention of faculty with experience and strengths that allow them to be excellent in their assigned roles.
- Provide strong, consistent leadership for faculty and other staff personnel
- Ensure effective classroom instruction and management
- Challenge, inspire and grow faculty to fulfill WCA expectations
- Evaluate faculty regularly in order to manage professional efficiency and consistency
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, faculty and administration
- Oversee student discipline for MS/HS and provide appropriate discipline that encourages students to make wise decisions
- Ensure the accurate development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Ensure that biblical integration takes place throughout the curriculum
- Ensure that the school meets and/or exceeds the standards set by CSI and the State of Michigan
- Participate in the Accreditation process as assigned
- Manage the upper school budget effectively
- Create the HS/MS class schedule with the support of the HOS
- Guide teachers and students to use technology to maximize learning
- Support with interviewing, admitting and retaining students who are a good fit according to admissions policies
- Promote a safe and secure learning environment for all students
- Provide appropriate discipline that encourages students to make wise decisions
Requirements and Qualifications
- Full agreement and support of WCA’s statement of faith
- A committed Christian and active member of a local, gospel preaching, Bible-believing church that aligns with our Statement of Faith
- Bachelor’s degree in education with classroom teaching experience
- Master’s degree or significant coursework and experience in education administration
- Experience in curriculum development and instructional leadership
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Computer proficiency
- Strong interpersonal relationships and people skills
- Willing to pursue additional training and career development as necessary
- Flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
- Display excellence in organization and communication skills

Head Coach Opportunities
Washtenaw Christian Academy is seeking a Head Coach for the following sports: 7th/8th Cheerleading & Varsity Baseball. The Head Coach reports to the Athletic Director.
This is a seasonal position. The ideal candidate will have a desire to lead our student-athletes to grow in their faith in Christ, to mature in their godly character, to increase their love for the game, and to develop their skills in competition. This candidate should have a strong faith in and love for God, and a thorough understanding of the rules and regulations of the game. This candidate must be able to develop and execute practice and game plans, and must possess excellent oral and written communication skills for interactions with student-athletes, parents, officials, and others in the sporting arena. Candidates must possess or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR certification.
