New Enrollment

The admission process at WCA is more than forms and an interview… we want to get to know our prospective families. WCA is more than a building…it is a community. Our goal is to help your student grow and excel. To do that, we need to know more about you and how we can meet your academic and spiritual needs.

We hope that God will lead you to Washtenaw Christian Academy. We pray that you will get to know WCA and see the value in a Christian education and allow us to meet your family’s educational needs.

To make our admission process as simple as possible three steps must be completed in order to be considered for admission.  These steps include:

  1. Complete the online student application and submit it with the non-refundable application fee. (Our online application can be found by clicking here)
  2. Schedule a “shadowing” visit!  Students will come for the day and experience what a day looks like at WCA.  Students may take placement tests on this day or schedule them a later time (does not apply to preschoolers). Parents will meet with admission personnel and receive admission criteria.
  3. WCA will contact you to arrange a family interview!

Shortly after the interview process, you will receive a letter informing you of the status of your application.

Admission criteria

In determining the mutual suitability of our program for a given student and his/her parents, we use the following admission criteria as a guideline for determining acceptance into the school. These criteria will be discussed at the interview meeting.
  • To be consistent with our Statement of Faith, and so that we are like-minded as we educate students, at least one parent must profess to be a Christian and be able to articulate their faith in an interview.
  • The parent and student will be required to read, understand, and agree with the Mission Statement and Statement of Faith of Washtenaw Christian Academy.
  • Students will be required to participate in, and be open to, spiritual growth opportunities at Washtenaw Christian Academy.
  • Students with special physical or academic needs will be evaluated on an individual basis to determine if our program will be suitable to meet their needs.
  • Students will be required to adhere to the rules of Washtenaw Christian Academy as stated in the Parent/Student Handbook.
  • Parents will be required to cooperate with Washtenaw Christian Academy in the enforcement of the disciplinary rules as stated in the Parent/Student Handbook.
